A person who had been missing for a week in Esenyurt, Istanbul, was found dead in the elevator shaft of the residence where they were staying. The prosecutor's office has initiated an investigation into the incident.

The incident occurred yesterday evening in a residence in the Zafer neighborhood of Esenyurt, Istanbul. According to allegations, the relatives of O.Y., who has been missing for about a week, filed a missing person report. Police teams opened the apartment door with the help of a locksmith, but no one was found inside. After the incident, a cleaner reported to the site management that they had found a mobile phone belonging to O.Y. in front of the apartment.

THE CAUSE OF DEATH WILL BE DETERMINED BY AUTOPSY RESULTS

Yesterday evening around 5:00 PM, a resident of the site noticed someone motionless in the apartment corridor and reported the situation to the police. Upon arrival, the police teams identified the individual as O.Y. While the prosecutor's office initiated an investigation into the matter, the body was taken to the forensic medicine institution for autopsy.
