In Istanbul, it was determined that the trigger in the attack that resulted in the death of Kemal Çağlar Temel, the owner of a cosmetics company known for his connections to Alaattin Çakıcı, was pulled by Serkan Kazan, the leader of the Kazanlar criminal organization. In the indictment prepared regarding the incident, a prison sentence of up to 24 years was requested for four individuals under the age of 18.
The indictment prepared regarding the armed attack in which Kemal Çağlar Temel was killed in Istanbul has been completed. The indictment includes striking details about the formation and planning of the attack, as well as the instigator and the shooter.
THEY OPENED FIRE WEARING SURGICAL MASKS The incident occurred on September 10, 2024, around 11:00 AM in front of a cosmetics store located on Abdullahağa Street in the Burhaniye neighborhood. Businessman Kemal Çağlar Temel, known for his closeness to Alaattin Çakıcı, was attacked by an assailant wearing a surgical mask while he was arriving at his workplace on his motorcycle. The assailant then fled the scene. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. It was determined that Temel had died at the scene. Following the work of the teams, the suspects were apprehended and taken into custody. After their procedures at the police station, the suspects were referred to the courthouse and were arrested by the judge after their statements were taken by the prosecutor.
"THE ONE WHO GAVE THE ORDER FOR THE ATTACK WAS CAUGHT IN KIRKLARELI" The investigation conducted by the Anadolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has been completed. The indictment states that the organization leader codenamed 'Osman', Boran Deniz, gave the order for Temel's murder. It was noted that Deniz recruited underage individuals into the organization with promises of luxury living and money, and encouraged them with weapons and vehicles, attempting to establish a new structure under the name 'Hashashins'. It was recorded that Deniz was connected to Serhat Azat, the leader of the 'Azatlar' criminal organization, and that he assigned the hitman Şahin Şimşek to carry out the execution of Kemal Çağlar Temel. It was noted that Şimşek shot and killed Temel in front of his workplace under the guidance of M.T.D., and then fled the scene with the help of G.B. After the incident, they went to a hotel to change clothes, hid the weapon, and then moved to a house in Zeytinburnu, where they were connected and acted together. The indictment also stated that many weapons and ammunition were seized during the raid, and that Boran Deniz was caught in Kırklareli while trying to flee abroad.
"THE HITMAN IS SERKAN KAZAN, THE LEADER OF THE CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION" The indictment also included security camera footage from the scene and in-car camera images from nearby vehicles. It was recorded that the hitman was Serkan Kazan, who became the leader after the death of the leader of the 'Kazanlar' criminal organization and had a criminal record for 'establishing an organization for the purpose of committing a crime', and that he was caught in a hotel in Ataşehir. It was determined that Ercan Ç., who was driving on the day of the incident, picked up the hitman from the hotel a day earlier. It was reported that a ready-to-fire pistol was found in the vehicle in which Boran Deniz was caught. Underage suspects B.K., M.E.D., Y.G., and M.T.D. were recruited into the group through the internet or via acquaintances. The suspects acted together with the group, were provided with phones and SIM cards, and did not report to law enforcement despite knowing the crimes committed and likely to be committed, and they exhibited joint action with task distributions and received instructions, as stated in the indictment. The indictment emphasized that the underage suspects were also involved in the murder plan within the organization, established task distributions, and exercised joint control over the actions, and therefore should be held responsible for 'premeditated murder'.
5 ENTRIES OF BULLET PROJECTILES The forensic report indicated that 5 entries of bullet projectiles were detected in the body of Kemal Çağlar Temel. It was noted that most of the injuries were fatal, with 2 shots fired at close range and 3 from a distance outside of close range. It was recorded that bullet fragments and a piece of yellow shirt were obtained from the corpse. The report stated that Temel's death occurred due to a bullet wound to the skull, brain hemorrhage, brain tissue destruction, and internal bleeding resulting from injuries to internal organs and major blood vessels.
REQUEST FOR UP TO 24 YEARS IN PRISON FOR 4 DEFENDANTS UNDER 18 For the underage suspects B.K., M.E.D., M.T.D., and Y.G., a prison sentence of 18 to 24 years for 'premeditated murder' and 1 year 8 months to 4 years for 'membership in an organization established for the purpose of committing a crime' was requested. When the prepared indictment is accepted by the relevant court, the trial of the defendants will begin.
