The police teams identified the mother of a 4.5-month-old fetus found in a sewer in Uşak by investigating like detectives. The police determined that waste from 49 apartments was flowing into the sewer line and discovered that the 25-year-old woman living in one of those apartments was approximately 4.5 months pregnant. The woman, who was taken into custody, confessed that she had become pregnant by her boyfriend and had a miscarriage in the bathroom.

In Uşak, the identity of the 4.5-month-old fetus found in the sewage line was determined within 2 days due to the detective-like work of the police teams. The woman, who claimed to have had a miscarriage in her statement, was released.

FETUS FOUND IN SEWAGE

The incident occurred on December 1 in the sewage line on 3 Nisan Street in Ünalan Neighborhood. According to the information obtained, municipal workers who came to the area to clear a blockage in the sewage line noticed a fetus in the sewage during their work and reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Following the notification, police teams were dispatched to the scene. After the examination, the fetus was taken to the morgue of Uşak Training and Research Hospital.

49 APARTMENTS UNDER INVESTIGATION

After the incident, the teams from the Homicide Bureau of the Provincial Police Department's Public Security Branch, working like detectives, determined which apartments were discharging waste into the sewage line. As a result of this work, it was found that waste was flowing from 49 apartments into the sewage.

APARTMENTS TO BE EXAMINED ONE BY ONE, MOTHER FOUND

Not stopping there, the police teams conducted numerous interviews with the Provincial Health Directorate to find out who among the residents of those apartments was pregnant. After the autopsy revealed that the fetus was 4.5 months old, it was discovered that the pregnancy duration of 25-year-old B.E., who lived in one of the identified apartments, matched this timeline.

The woman, who was taken into custody by the police, stated in her testimony that she became pregnant by her boyfriend and had a miscarriage while feeling unwell in the bathroom. B.E. was released after her statement.
