The suspect who threatened a police officer during the protest demonstrations held in Saraçhane by saying, "I will find you when you retire," was captured and taken into custody in the Darıca district of Kocaeli.
Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was detained on March 19 as part of investigations against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, threatened a police officer during the ongoing protests in Saraçhane following his arrest and suspension in the 'corruption' investigation.
"I WILL FIND YOU WHEN YOU RETIRE"
A person named A.K. shouted at a riot police officer standing in front of the barricade, "I will find you when you retire. I will find you before you receive your first retirement salary." A.K. shared the moments he recorded with his mobile phone camera on social media platforms.
DETAINED
In relation to the matter, teams from the Istanbul Police Department took action. Investigations revealed that A.K. was in the Darıca district of Kocaeli. A.K. was captured and detained by the efforts of the Darıca District Police Department's Public Order Branch. A.K. was charged with "inciting or humiliating the public to hatred and hostility."
