The Israeli army opened fire on civilians trying to reach humanitarian aid points in Rafah, Gaza, resulting in the deaths of at least 30 Palestinians and injuries to 115 others. Recent similar attacks have drawn reactions from the international community.

The Israeli army carried out a new massacre this morning by opening fire on Palestinian civilians trying to reach a humanitarian aid distribution point in the west of the city of Rafah, located in the southern Gaza Strip.

According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, at least 30 Palestinians were killed and 115 others injured as a result of direct fire from Israeli occupation forces' armored vehicles while hundreds of civilians were on the move to reach humanitarian aid in the Mawasi area of Rafah.

17 CIVILIANS HAD DIED

Sources pointing out that similar attacks have increased in recent days stated that Israel is deliberately killing civilians by targeting aid distribution points and that this is being implemented systematically. It was reported that in just the last few days, 17 more civilians waiting to receive aid were killed in Israeli attacks, with dozens injured.

THEY ARE BLOCKING THE ENTRY OF HUMANITARIAN AID

For more than 90 days, Israel has been blocking the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza by closing all border crossings. As a result of not allowing the entry of essential living materials, especially food items, millions of people living in Gaza have been left facing mass starvation.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Since October 7, 2023, the attacks carried out by Israel with the support of the USA have caused unprecedented destruction in the Gaza Strip. So far, over 54,000 Palestinians have lost their lives in the ongoing attacks, and more than 124,000 people have been injured. A large portion of the dead and injured are women and children. Additionally, more than 11,000 people are missing, and hundreds of thousands of civilians have been displaced. In this process, where even trying to receive humanitarian aid results in death, the policies pursued by Israel are considered part of a systematic strategy of starvation and mass extermination.
