In the operation against the ISIS terrorist organization in Yalova, it was learned that police officer Turgut Külünk, who was martyred in the clash between terrorists and police, is a relative of former AK Party MP Metin Külünk. Regarding the matter, Metin Külünk made a post on his social media account, stating, "No opposing force can hinder Turkey's unity and independence."
In Yalova, during an operation against the ISIS terrorist organization, 3 police officers were martyred in a clash between terrorists and police, while 8 police officers and a guard were injured. 6 members of the terrorist organization were neutralized in the clash.

On the other hand, it was learned that Turgut Külünk, one of our police officers martyred in the clash, is a relative of former AK Party Member of Parliament Metin Külünk.

Regarding the issue, Metin Külünk shared a post on his social media account, stating, "No opposing force can hinder Turkey's unity and independence." Külünk included the following statements in his post: "ISIS has once again shown that it is a contractor for those who aim to be the center of evil in the world during the operation carried out by our security forces in Yalova. The terrorists who cowardly engaged in conflict during the operation caused the martyrdom of three of our lives. We are equally saddened for each life lost and are angry against the despicable attack and its perpetrators. We pray for infinite grace from our Lord for İlker Pehlivan, Yasin Koçyiğit, and our relative Turgut Külünk, and we wish patience and resilience to their precious families and our noble nation. No opposing force can hinder Turkey's unity and independence."
