In a statement regarding the incident, Altun said, "I would like to emphasize that the situation we encountered does not align with the Turkish people's approach to hospitality, and I do not want to interpret this incident as a stance against our Saadet Party."

The Saadet Party Kayseri Provincial Chairman Erdal Altun announced the rendezvous crisis they experienced with the MHP on social media. Altun stated that they encountered an application that is incompatible with the Turkish nation's approach to guests at the MHP Provincial Presidency, where they had gone after making an appointment in advance.

In his statement regarding the issue, Altun said, "As the Saadet Party Kayseri Provincial Presidency, we are making visits to civil society organizations and political parties in line with the new generation political principles of our General Chairman, which aim to eliminate anger and divisive language from politics. In this context, we visited the MHP Kayseri Provincial Presidency, for which our provincial secretariat requested an appointment, today at the appointed time with our board members. I do not want to evaluate the situation as a stance against our Saadet Party, but I must state that the scenario we encountered is incompatible with the Turkish nation's approach to guests," he expressed.
