KILLED 3 RELATIVES In the incident that occurred yesterday on Kurtuluş Mahallesi Fiskobirlik Caddesi; Muharrem Gülen went to the workplace of his brother Mehmet Gülen, sister-in-law Emine Gülen, and nephew Resul Gülen, with whom he had a feud due to a land dispute. An argument between the parties turned into a fight. Muharrem Gülen shot his brother, sister-in-law, and nephew with a pistol. Resul Gülen died at the scene, while the injured couple Mehmet and Emine Gülen could not be saved despite all medical intervention at Fatsa State Hospital where they were taken.
Muharrem Gülen SUSPECT TURNS OUT TO BE RETIRED IMAM Police teams launched an operation to capture the fleeing suspect. Muharrem Gülen surrendered to security forces in Tepecik Mahallesi, Fatsa district, one day after the incident. It was learned that the suspect is a retired imam.
CAPTURED ON SECURITY CAMERA Meanwhile, images from nearby security cameras showed a scuffle between the parties and that both brothers were carrying pistols.
LAID TO REST For Mehmet, Emine, and Resul Gülen who died in the incident, a forgiveness ceremony was held today at noon at their home in Tepekent 2 Site, Kurtuluş Mahallesi, then the bodies were brought to Fatsa Hz. Hamza Mosque. After the noon funeral prayer, the couple and their children were laid to rest in the family cemetery. The investigation into the incident continues.
