Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey announced that there will be no water cuts on October 28-29-30 due to the recent effective rainfall.
Due to the decrease in water resources and the critical drop in dam filling rates as a result of climate change and drought, planned water cuts have been implemented in Bursa, and the recent rains have brought smiles to faces.
"WE WILL LIFT THE CUTS WITH THE RISE IN WATER LEVEL"
Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey thanked the residents of Bursa for their sensitivity regarding water cuts. He stated that citizens supported the water cuts related to conservation by showing a great example of responsibility. Mayor Mustafa Bozbey said, "We observed some movement in the water coming to our dam due to the rains that fell for 3 days. As a result, we are lifting the water cuts for 3 days. There will be no water cuts on October 28, 29, and 30. On October 30, we will evaluate again with our team. A result will emerge from the evaluation along with the conservation of the people of Bursa. Thus, I believe that with the rain falling and the rise in the water levels of our dams, we will eliminate the cuts."
"I THANK ALL MY FELLOW CITIZENS"
Mayor Bozbey expressed that they would have to continue with intermittent water cuts considering the residents of Bursa if there is insufficient rainfall. "Of course, this is not what we want. However, we are trying to do this by considering our people. During this period without water cuts, the sensitivity and awareness that our fellow citizens will show regarding water conservation, as in the past, will be extremely meaningful. I also thank all my fellow citizens for the conservation they have made and will make, and for the understanding they have shown us during this process," he said.
