Following the incident in which a dispute that started on social media three months ago in Adana resulted in the deaths of three people in a park, a police operation was launched to apprehend the suspects. Three murder suspects captured in Adana and Mersin, along with a fraud suspect who was with them, were arrested.
In the incident that occurred in the park located in the Çınarlı neighborhood of the Sarıçam district, two groups with a feud clashed in the park. In the armed conflict, 24-year-old Serdar and 19-year-old Umut Akipa brothers were killed at the scene, while 29-year-old Ferhat Ay, who was seriously injured, died in the hospital where he was taken. Following the murders, the teams of the Homicide Bureau of the Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch initiated work to identify and capture the suspects.
A FRAUDSTER WAS ALSO CAPTURED IN THE KILLERS' BROADCAST
As a result of the technical and physical surveillance conducted by the police, it was determined that the suspects involved in the clash were O.A. (30), Y.A. (25), and K.Ö. (27). Learning that the suspects were in Adana and Mersin, the police carried out an operation. In the operation, which also involved special operations teams, 2 of the suspects were caught in Adana and 1 in Mersin. C.A. (24), who was wanted for fraud, was also detained alongside the murder suspects. The 3 suspects, whose statements were taken by the Adana police, were referred to the courthouse for murder, while C.A. was arrested and sent to prison for fraud.
THE REASON FOR THE MURDER IS INSULTING ON SOCIAL MEDIA
It was learned that the suspects had previously known each other and that a feud had developed between them due to arguments on social media. Before the murder, it was revealed that friends from both groups, who had been insulting each other on social media, confronted each other in the park and carried out the incident. In the incident that started with a dispute over insults on social media and turned into a clash, it was noted that 2 of the deceased were from one side, while the other was from the other side.
