The route of the 500T/Tuzla Şifa Mahallesi-Cevizlibağ bus line, known as one of the longest bus lines in Istanbul where the sun never sets, has been shortened. The line will now operate on the Tuzla Şifa Mahallesi-4. Levent Metro route instead of Tuzla Şifa Mahallesi-Cevizlibağ.

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME) meeting decided to shorten the route of the 500T/Tuzla Şifa Mahallesi-Cevizlibağ bus line, which is one of the longest bus lines in the city.
The UKOME meeting was held under the chairmanship of IMM Secretary General Volkan Demir at the Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) in Eyüpsultan.
During the meeting, the reorganization of the 500T/Tuzla Şifa Mahallesi-Cevizlibağ bus line, which connects the two sides of Istanbul and is one of the longest bus lines in the city, was discussed. The agenda item stated that the management of the 500T line has become difficult due to reasons such as the length of the line, traffic congestion, and frequency loss, and that issues such as failure to comply with the schedule during peak hours have been encountered.
TRANSFER FROM 500T TO 500L WILL BE FREE
In the agenda item proposing the division of the 500T line to improve service quality and ensure sustainability, it was stated that "By terminating the line at the 4th Levent Metro station, the existing number of trips will be preserved, and with the savings from 15 vehicles, the capacity of the 500L (4th Levent-Cevizlibağ) line will be increased for our passengers wishing to travel on the 4th Levent-Cevizlibağ route. Due to the 500T line's fare being for 2 full tickets, it is proposed that a full ticket fare will be valid for transfers from the 500L line, which operates with a single ticket, to the 500T line, and that transfers from the 500T line to the 500L line will be free."
DECISION ACCEPTED BY MAJORITY VOTE
After the speeches at the meeting, the vote to shorten the route of the 500T line was accepted by majority vote.
From now on, the line will serve on the Tuzla Şifa Mahallesi-4th Levent Metro route instead of Tuzla Şifa Mahallesi-Cevizlibağ.
