It was stated that the incident leading to the death of Lenny Scott, who was shot and killed in front of a gym in England, revealed an illegal relationship that occurred four years ago at the prison where he worked.

The moment Lenny Scott, a father of three from England, was shot and killed in front of a gym was captured by security cameras. The reason for the murder was that he had uncovered an illegal relationship that took place in the prison where he worked four years ago.

In 2020, Scott, who worked at Altcourse Prison in Liverpool, found a mobile phone during a search of inmate Elias Morgan's cell. It was already a crime to smuggle the phone into the prison. However, the real issue was that the phone contained evidence of a sexual relationship between Morgan and prison officer Sarah Williams.

According to allegations, inmate Morgan offered Scott £1,500 to cover up the incident, even telling him, "Don't file a report, forget the paperwork." However, Scott reported the situation as part of his duty.

From that day on, Morgan targeted Scott and told those around him,

"I will wait for my time, but I will find him."

On February 8, 2024, 33-year-old Lenny Scott was shot while leaving a gym in Skelmersdale, Lancashire. According to security camera footage, a man wearing an orange reflective vest was waiting in the parking lot. As Scott was chatting with someone next to his car, the assailant approached, suddenly drew his weapon, and fired six shots at Scott's head and body.

The prosecutor stated that this murder was completely premeditated for revenge and that the attack was carried out by Elias Morgan himself. It was alleged that Morgan acted in conjunction with another defendant, Anthony Cleary, who transported the electric scooter used by the assailant in a minibus.

Scott reported that he received threats in the days following the discovery of the mobile phone. He told his father that Morgan had made gun gestures towards him. He also mentioned that he was threatened with, "I will blow up your house, with your family inside," by an ex-partner.

Just four days before the murder, he called the police, saying,

"I am afraid for my family."

After the phone was examined, inmate Morgan was arrested. Prison officer Sarah Williams also admitted to charges of public office misconduct and computer misuse.

Elias Morgan (35) and Anthony Cleary (29), who is alleged to be his accomplice, deny the murder charge. Cleary also denied the second-degree murder charge.

Trials are still ongoing.
