In the Menteşe district of Muğla, a gendarmerie sergeant who had been out of contact was found dead in his home, shot in the head with a gun, after fire brigade teams entered through the balcony with the help of a ladder.
Friends of the gendarmerie expert sergeant A.Z.Y., who was on duty in Muğla, became suspicious when they could not reach him and went to his house in the Yeniköy neighborhood of the Menteşe district.
FIRE BRIGADE TEAMS ENTERED FROM THE BALCONY
As A.Z.Y. did not open the door, his friends reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center without wasting time. Upon the notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the area. The police teams that arrived at the scene requested assistance from the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department teams as the door could not be opened. They entered through the balcony with the help of a fire ladder.
FOUND DEAD WITH A GUNSHOT WOUND TO THE HEAD
The teams encountered the motionless body of Gendarmerie Expert Sergeant A.Z.Y. Medical teams determined during their checks that A.Z.Y. had died from a gunshot wound to the head. After the incident, a large number of police teams, crime scene investigation experts, and the on-duty prosecutor were dispatched to the area.
THE VEIL OF MYSTERY WILL BE LIFTED IN AUTOPSY
After the initial examinations, A.Z.Y.'s lifeless body was sent to the Muğla Yerkesik Forensic Medicine Institution for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. A comprehensive investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
