"WE WILL WORK WITH TRUMP"
In a statement described as a stance against "arbitrary censorship," it was conveyed that TikTok would work with the elected President of the USA, Donald Trump, for a long-term solution to ensure TikTok's presence in the USA.
The statement from TikTok came after Trump announced on Monday that he would sign an executive order to delay the TikTok ban.
In a statement made on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump shared, "On Monday, I will issue an executive order extending the deadline for the law's ban to allow us to make a deal to protect our national security."
With the mentioned executive order, Trump also stated that companies supporting the prevention of TikTok's ban would not have legal liability, but he expressed that he wanted half of TikTok to be owned by Americans.
