Terzioğlu, who had her thigh bone fixed with a plate during surgery and is currently undergoing treatment, described the moment of the accident, saying, "Before entering the water, I checked if there were any boats. While I was swimming, I turned my head and saw a boat coming towards me at high speed. I didn't have time to escape, and the moment I saw the boat, it hit me at the same time."

Terzioğlu, who claimed that she had previously seen the boat operating carelessly near the shore, stated, "At the moment the boat hit me, I felt a very severe pain in my leg. Later, a person whose name I didn't know, who was on the boat that hit me, reached out his hand to pull me onto the boat. However, due to the severe pain I was experiencing, I told him that I couldn't move or get on the boat. The citizens nearby pulled me to the shore. The boat that hit me had been operating carelessly and at high speed near the shore in the previous days, and most of the time, the boat was approaching the shore quickly."
