After being detained as part of a betting investigation, Konyaspor's Senegalese footballer Alassane Ndao was released at the first hearing. His wife announced the news through a social media post.
An important decision has been made by the court regarding Alassane Ndao, the former football player of Konyaspor, who was arrested as part of a betting and match-fixing investigation in football.
RELEASED IN THE FIRST HEARING
The Senegalese football player, who was arrested in December 2025 as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, was released in the first hearing.
UP TO 13 YEARS IN PRISON SOUGHT
Ndao, who has been charged with "betting and match-fixing" and faces a prison sentence of up to 13 years, is alleged to have placed a bet on the match played between Beşiktaş and Konyaspor.

DENIED THE ALLEGATIONS
In his defense, Ndao claimed that he was unaware of the betting account opened in his name and that the transactions were carried out by third parties, thus denying the allegations.
TRIAL POSTPONED TO JUNE
While issuing the release decision, the court postponed the trial to June 10, 2026. It was also noted that the PFDK had previously imposed a 12-month ban on the player and that Konyaspor had terminated his contract.
