The standard fuel exemption applied to commercial vehicles with Iranian license plates has been lifted by a Presidential Decision. According to the decision published in the Official Gazette, the special consumption tax regulations for these vehicles have been redefined.

The standard warehouse exemption applied to commercial vehicles with Iranian plates has been lifted. In the Presidential Decision published in the Official Gazette, it was stated that the Decision on the Principles Regarding the Standard Warehouse Exemption to be Applied to Commercial Vehicles with Iranian Plates, which was enacted with the Presidential Decision numbered 9366 dated December 27, 2024, has been repealed.

THERE WAS A 155% EXCESS TAX

In the repealed decision, it was stated that "The standard warehouse exemption does not apply to commercial vehicles with Iranian plates and special containers entering our country, except for buses. The tax amount, which is 155% more than the special consumption tax amount applied per liter for the relevant petroleum product according to the Special Consumption Tax Law, is collected as a single and fixed tax for commercial vehicles with Iranian plates and special containers, excluding buses."
