In the investigation regarding the death of singer Gül Tut, who fell from a window in the Çınarcık district of Yalova, statements from her daughter Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter's friends have emerged. One of the witnesses, Bircan D., claimed that Tuğyan "tied her mother with a kitchen apron" and said, "I will kill this woman." Another witness, Çağrı K., reported that Tuğyan stated, "My mother will die; I will befriend her and then kill her." The prosecutor's office is investigating whether the incident was an accident or a murder.
In Yalova's Çınarcık district, the investigation into the death of artist Güllü, who fell from the window of her apartment on the 5th floor, has revealed statements from her daughter Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter's friends.
On September 26, Güllü fell from the window while having fun with her daughter and a friend on the closed terrace of the apartment on Vali Akı Street in the Harmanlar neighborhood of Çınarcık district. The investigation into the death of the famous artist known as "Güllü," whose real name is Gül Tut, is ongoing by the Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. SHE HAD TIED HER MOTHER WITH A KITCHEN APRON AND BEATEN HER BEFORE
Bircan D., who stated that he has known Tuğyan since she was 15, said, "I haven't had much interaction with Gül, but I was very close friends with Tuğyan. Tuğyan and her mother have always had a very bad relationship; in fact, years ago, Tuğyan tied Gül with a kitchen apron and called me, saying, 'I will kill this woman.' Her uncle came from Istanbul and intervened in the situation." Witness Bircan D. also mentioned that Tuğyan had a boyfriend named Sinan about 15 years ago, who was imprisoned for drug trafficking, stating, "Their relationship had deteriorated because of this Sinan. Tuğyan had beaten her mother because of this Sinan. My house is opposite Gül's house; Tuğyan would come to me every time she fought with her mother."
SHE DELETED MESSAGES FROM HER PHONE
Bircan D. explained that Tuğyan had arguments with her mother due to her current boyfriend K being married with children, saying, "Gül didn't want Tuğyan to be the second woman, so they always fought because of this relationship. Tuğyan sent me the messages that came out in the media; as far as I remember, it was in June when Tuğyan had fought with her mother because of K. In the messages, there were contents like 'Let her die, I’m tired of this woman, she’s not dying.' However, about 4 days ago, Tuğyan deleted these messages from my phone. Ferdi learned about these messages through the press; he called me 4 days ago and asked, 'Do you have my bloody t-shirt?' We met to get the t-shirt; this t-shirt was the one Tuğyan was wearing on the day Gül was killed. I had gone to Tuğyan that day; she took off the t-shirt at her boyfriend K's house. I put the t-shirt in my bag so that Tuğyan wouldn't feel worse, and I told her she could take it when she felt ready because the t-shirt had her mother's blood on it; it was a memory for Tuğyan. After taking the t-shirt, Tuğyan wanted to stay with me; her friend named Sultan was also with her. While at home, she told me that her phone was off and she wanted to use mine. She took my phone and deleted the messages, asking why I still had messages with her. I later realized her phone was not off; after deleting the messages, she continued to talk on her own phone, that’s how I understood it."
"I DID IT BUT I'M VERY SORRY, SISTER," SHE SAID
Bircan D. recounted a dialogue that took place at Tuğyan's house after Güllü's funeral, saying, "I asked Tuğyan, 'Are you sorry for what you said about your mother 3 months ago?' I was referring to the messages she sent me that also appeared in the media. Tuğyan replied, 'Sister, I’m glad you stopped me back then; I wish you could have stopped me this time too. I did it, but I’m very sorry, sister.' I couldn't say anything in response. I couldn't say anything until today because I was afraid of Tuğyan; I reached out to Mr. Ferdi because my conscience was troubled. During this process, we never talked about this issue with Tuğyan, but I had told her, 'You need to pull yourself together; we will talk.' The messages I mentioned above included Tuğyan asking me, 'Should I cut the brakes of my mother's car, should I throw her off a cliff, what should I do?' I tried to calm Tuğyan; I even called Çağrı, who is like a spiritual brother to me, asking him to calm Tuğyan since I wouldn't be able to reach her. After this incident, Çağrı went to Tuğyan and calmed her down."
"I THINK TUĞYAN PUSHED GÜLLÜ"
Bircan D. expressed that Tuğyan was very different when she got angry, saying, "She has harmed herself with a box cutter and a knife; she has no sense of pain. There were times she told me about incidents where she beat her mother. After becoming involved with K., Tuğyan wanted to completely get rid of her mother because Gül was the only obstacle between Tuğyan and K. On the day of the funeral, Tuğyan and her friend Sultan were contradicting each other while recounting the incident; while Sultan said she looked at her forehead in the mirror, Tuğyan said, 'We were playing.' I even told the prosecutor to let everyone tell what they know and not to burn each other's heads; just tell what happened. There were blood stains in the building across from where Güllü fell; I don't know how those stains were cleaned. I don't think this incident was an accident; I believe Tuğyan pushed Güllü, and I think Sultan remained silent because she was afraid of Tuğyan."
"TUĞYAN TOLD ME, 'IF I BURN, I WILL BURN YOU TOO'"
Bircan D. stated that after the messages between them were aired on television, Tuğyan called her, saying, "They are calling me from the prosecutor's office; the messages have come out on TV, what did you do, sister? They will take me into custody; you sold me out, come here, we will go to the prosecutor." After that, I took a taxi from Armutlu to Yalova. I thought we were going to the prosecutor's office, but they took me from Yalova to their office in Istanbul. On the way, Tuğyan said to me, 'If I burn, I will burn you too.' We went to Ms. Merve's office, and there she tried to attack me aggressively, saying, 'Whoever burns me, I will burn them too.' The lawyers tried to calm her down. After that, I returned to Istanbul on my own. Tuğyan offered to return together, but I refused. In the office, she said, 'You will clear me, and I will clear you.' Since the messages were exposed, we said we would clear each other, and I responded that I had nothing to do with this incident.
