In the murder of Bedriye Karaçay, mother of three, whose body was found in a forested area in Sarıyer, chilling details have emerged. It was determined that the young woman was strangled to death in her home because she wanted to leave her drug-addicted husband, who then transported her lifeless body by taxi to the forest and buried it, while falsely reporting her missing to the police.

The lifeless body of 27-year-old Bedriye Karaçay, who had been reported missing for 4 days in Kağıthane, Istanbul, was found in the forested area of Sarıyer Ayazağa. Her husband, Volkan K., who was taken into custody, confessed to strangling his wife at home, wrapping her in a blanket, and taking her by taxi to the forest to bury her.

In the incident that occurred on July 21 in Kağıthane Telsizler Mahallesi, the family of Bedriye Karaçay, a mother of three, who could not be reached, filed a missing person report with the police. Police teams, who launched an extensive investigation into the incident, identified suspicious movements through camera and HTS records and detained the woman's husband, Volkan K. (30).

BRUTALLY MURDERED FOR WANTING TO SEPARATE

According to information obtained from the investigation file, it was learned that Bedriye Karaçay told her husband Volkan K., who used drugs, that she wanted to separate and would raise their children alone. After the ensuing argument, the enraged husband strangled the young woman to death in the living room of the house.

STAGED A "DISAPPEARANCE" AND REPORTED TO POLICE

It was revealed that suspect Volkan K. wrapped the body in a blanket with a rope taken from the balcony after the murder, then called a taxi and, together with his brother Gökhan G., took it to the forested area in Sarıyer Ayazağa. It was determined that the two brothers, who buried the body in a shallow grave, went to the police afterward and filed a missing person report, saying "I am concerned about my wife's life."

CAMERA AND HTS RECORDS FOILED THE SCHEME

In the security camera reviews conducted by police teams, no trace was found of Bedriye Karaçay leaving the house. HTS records revealed that her husband Volkan K. had gone to the Ayazağa area on the day of the incident. Faced with the evidence, the suspect confessed to his crime during cross-examination and showed the police where he had buried the body.

WILDLIFE HAD DAMAGED THE BODY

During the location showing operation at Sarıyer Ayazağa Yeşiltepe Mevkii, the unfortunate woman's lifeless body was reached. The body of Bedriye Karaçay, whose feet were found to have been damaged by wild animals, was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute Morgue to determine the exact cause of death.

Murder suspect Volkan K. and his brother Gökhan G., who assisted him, are expected to be referred to the courthouse as their interrogations at the police station continue.
