Deniz A., a 20-year-old wanted as a suspect in exactly 18 separate theft incidents across Bursa and Istanbul, was caught red-handed in İnegöl by police, with her 2-year-old baby in her arms. The suspect, a mother of two, was allegedly 6 months pregnant with her third child in order to avoid prison and benefit from legal exemptions. The notorious thief, whose 'pregnancy tactic' failed this time, was arrested by the court she was referred to and sent behind bars.
Deniz A., a 20-year-old suspect wanted for 18 separate theft incidents in Bursa and Istanbul, was caught with a baby in her arms in the İnegöl district of Bursa. The mother of two, who is also allegedly six months pregnant with her third child to avoid arrest, was arrested and sent to prison by the court she was referred to.
POLICE FOLLOWED STEP BY STEP
Security forces took action for serial thief Deniz A., who stole a fortune from homes and workplaces she targeted in Istanbul and the Orhangazi, Karacabey, and İnegöl districts of Bursa. Following the consecutive theft incidents, teams from the İnegöl District Police Department launched an in-depth investigation. After technical and physical surveillance, the suspect's hiding address was identified, and she was caught red-handed.
"ESCAPE FROM PRISON FORMULA" DIDN'T WORK THIS TIME
Details at the time of the capture of the 20-year-old Deniz A. were astonishing. During the operation, the suspect had a 2-year-old baby in her arms, and it was determined that she was already the mother of two children and was six months pregnant based on checks. The young woman allegedly constantly became pregnant to avoid being arrested and sent to prison by judicial authorities and to benefit from legal loopholes associated with "pregnancy/mother with baby" status. However, this tactic she developed didn't work this time due to the severity of her crimes.
REFERRED TO COURT: ARRESTED
Deniz A., who did not accept the theft charges during interrogation at the police station and was referred to the İnegöl Courthouse under intense security measures after completing procedures, was arrested and sent to prison by the court she was brought before. Sending the pregnant thief, a suspect in 18 separate cases, behind bars brought relief to the local community.
