The statement of the health cabin operator who administered the IV to Harun Bayramoğlu, who died due to a yellow serum in Ataşehir, has emerged. The suspect said, "The small bottle was completely finished, and after using about 5 drops of the large serum, he said, 'I started to feel nauseous,' so I stopped. Since I performed the procedure without a prescription, I think I might be at fault."

Deaths related to the treatment commonly known as "atom" or "yellow serum" continue. Most recently, 64-year-old Harun Bayramoğlu, who was receiving yellow serum treatment at home in the İçerenköy neighborhood of Ataşehir, Istanbul, lost his life. The statement of the suspect A.T., the owner of the Erenköy health cabin who administered the serum to Bayramoğlu, has emerged. A.T. was released under judicial control after his statement.

"I ADMINISTERED THE SERUM AT HIS INSISTENCE"

The suspect A.T. stated in his testimony to the prosecutor's office, "I have been assisting Harun Bayramoğlu with serum administration and other medication treatments about 5-6 times a year for approximately 5 years. Harun Bayramoğlu sends me the prescription written by his doctor, and I procure the medications listed in the prescription and administer them to him at his residence. There is no prescription for the medications we used in this last incident. I went to his residence with the medications available in my establishment at his insistence. Harun Bayramoğlu's wife, Leyla Bayramoğlu, is also a witness to his insistence in this last incident. I prepared the serum in front of Harun Bayramoğlu and Leyla Bayramoğlu. I definitely did not use the Bemiks ampoule known as yellow serum. I first administered paracetamol, and then I administered the 500 cc serum. This serum is known as an isolated balanced serum, and it does not contain sodium or glucose." he said.

"AFTER 5 DROPS, HE SAID HIS STOMACH WAS NAUSEOUS"

The suspect, who detailed the medications he administered, said, "In addition to this serum, I added arveles (1 unit), vitamin C ampoule (2 units), avil antihistamine (1 unit), and due to stomach complaints, I also added 1 unit of a stomach protector known as pulcet and 1 unit of novasef antibiotic medication. I administered these medications at Harun Bayramoğlu's request. At the time of the incident, the small bottle of paracetamol we call was completely finished, and after starting the large serum, after about 5 drops, when Harun Bayramoğlu said he was feeling nauseous, I immediately stopped the serum." he stated.

"I MAY BE AT FAULT FOR PERFORMING PROCEDURES WITHOUT A PRESCRIPTION"

A.T., who stated that he provided the first intervention to Bayramoğlu until the ambulance arrived, said, "After that, I went to my vehicle to intervene with steroid and 150 ml bos serum 80 mg prednol, and avil. When I arrived, his wife had already drawn the serum, and Harun Bayramoğlu was lying on the ground. I opened the vein again and administered the medications I brought from the vehicle. I provided the first intervention until the ambulance arrived, I pressed down with a wooden spoon to prevent it from going into his mouth, and I turned the patient on his side. After a while, the ambulance arrived, and I later learned that he had passed away at the hospital he was taken to. I think I may be at fault for performing procedures without a prescription, but I acted this way because we have done similar applications in similar cases. I am sorry about the situation; these are all I have to say." he expressed.
