Gurbet A. (26), who was recently fired in Adana, entered the café where he used to work and stole 8,000 lira from the cash register and 700 lira from the foosball machine. The suspect, who was caught by the police, stated, "I entered the workplace, but I did not steal the money. The items in the bag were my personal belongings."
The incident occurred on May 21 at around 02:00 in the Kuruköprü neighborhood of Seyhan district. Gurbet A., who was fired a while ago, opened the iron door by sliding the bolt and entered the café where he used to work. While inside, Gurbet took 8,000 lira from the cash register and 700 lira from the money compartment of the foosball machine. After filling a bag with the money, the suspect left the workplace. Those moments were captured by the security camera.
ARRESTED
When Sevim Ş., the owner of the café, noticed the theft upon arriving to open the café, he reported it, and the Theft and Pickpocketing Bureau teams began working to capture the suspect. The police examined the security camera footage along the route and arrested Gurbet A. during a raid at the address where he was hiding. Gurbet A., who was taken to the police station, stated during the interrogation, "I entered the workplace, but I did not steal the money. The items in the bag were my personal belongings. I went to get them." After the necessary procedures, Gurbet A. was referred to the courthouse and was arrested by the court.
