ARRESTED
The police detained the 23-year-old suspect M.A., whose residence address was identified, in the Of district of Trabzon. After completing the procedures at the Of Courthouse, M.A. was arrested by the court on charges of "threat" and "inciting hatred and hostility in the public." WHAT HAPPENED?
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel was attacked after attending the farewell ceremony for Sırrı Süreyya Önder held at the Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM). It was learned that the attacker was 66-year-old Selçuk Tengioğlu, who had a criminal record for previously attempting to kill children. Tengioğlu was taken to the Beyoğlu District Police Department and, after the procedures there, was sent to the Istanbul Public Security Branch. He has a record for theft and threats. S.T., who received a life sentence, was released on conditional parole in 2020."
