In a statement from the Syrian army, it was noted that the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo has been cleared of the terrorist organization, and it was stated, "We call on civilians to stay in their homes and not to go outside, as elements of the terrorist organizations are hiding among them. Civilians can communicate with the military forces in the streets in case of any emergency or to report the presence of organization members," it was expressed.
CLASHES HAVE BEEN CONTINUING SINCE JANUARY 6
Since January 6, the terrorist organization YPG/SDF has carried out attacks on many points in Aleppo from the regions it occupies.
The Damascus administration had requested YPG/SDF to comply with the March 10 Agreement and to end the attacks in Aleppo.
In response to the continued attacks by YPG/SDF, the Syrian army had launched pinpoint operations against the positions of the terrorist organization in the Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafiyeh, and Beni Zayd neighborhoods of Aleppo.
In the attacks carried out by the terrorist organization since January 6, 9 Syrians have lost their lives, and 55 people, mostly civilians, have been injured.
The Aleppo City Central Committee had announced that the number of those evacuated to safe areas in Aleppo was 142,000.
