The part of Deir ez-Zor province in Syria that is occupied by the terrorist organization YPG/SDF has largely been liberated by tribal forces east of the Euphrates River.

The Syrian army is advancing towards Raqqa with pinpoint operations. While the Tabqa district, located 5 kilometers from Raqqa, came under the control of the Syrian army, the terrorist organization YPG/SDG executed prisoners in the prison before withdrawing from the area and blew up 2 bridges. The part of Deir ez-Zor occupied by YPG/SDG has been largely liberated by tribal forces from the east of the Euphrates River.

DEIR EZ-ZOR CLEARED OF YPG

In the Deir ez-Zor province east of the Euphrates River in Syria, the tribes that revolted and the tribal forces that came from the west of the Euphrates liberated the area where the Omar oil and Kuniko natural gas fields are located from the terrorist organization YPG/SDG. The Omar Oil Field and Kuniko Gas Field came under the control of the tribal forces.

After the withdrawal of the U.S. from these fields, which it had previously used as bases, a security vacuum was created in the region.

As the tribes made progress against the organization east of the Euphrates River, they also took control of the villages and towns of Shehil, Hawaij, Ziban, Tayyane, Abu Hammam, Hatla, Garanic, Baghouz, Susah, and Shafah, which are connected to Deir ez-Zor.

YPG/SDG TARGETED CIVILIAN SETTLEMENTS IN DEIR EZ-ZOR

The terrorist organization YPG/SDG struck civilian settlements in Deir ez-Zor province in eastern Syria with mortar shells and rockets.

In a statement regarding the attacks, Deir ez-Zor Governor Gassan al-Sayyid Ahmed noted that during a time when the tribes revolted for the unity of the country and the return of Syrians to their lands, YPG/SDG targeted civilians.

The governor stated in a post on the social media platform of the U.S.-based X company, "While our tribes have risen in the Jazira region for the unity of Syria and the return of our children to their homeland, YPG/SDG continues to target civilians with weapons."

The governor also reported that the organization did not stop there and carried out rocket attacks on residential areas in the city center of Deir ez-Zor, Mayadin, and other regions under government control, saying, "These crimes will not go unpunished."

Governor Ahmed also called on citizens in the Jazira region (northeast of Syria) to protect public properties, especially hospitals, schools, and service facilities, emphasizing that it is a shared responsibility.

Ahmed expressed that the destruction of public facilities is an attack on the rights of all citizens and urged the public to cooperate with local authorities and relevant teams and to comply with instructions for the stability of the region.

The Deir ez-Zor Governorate also announced that due to security reasons, all public institutions and official offices in the country would halt operations on Sunday (today), which is the beginning of the week, and urged citizens to stay home unless absolutely necessary.

ALEPPO AIRPORT REOPENING AFTER 8 DAYS OF CLOSURE DUE TO ATTACKS

The Syrian Civil Aviation and Air Transport Authority announced that flights at Aleppo International Airport, which has been closed for 8 days due to attacks by the terrorist organization YPG/SDG, will resume starting Tuesday, January 20.

In a written statement from the authority, it was noted that air traffic would be restarted in accordance with the approved flight schedule, and the decision was made after completing the necessary technical and security assessments.

The statement emphasized that coordination with relevant institutions was carried out to ensure the safety of passengers and flight crews and operational safety.

Passengers were asked to follow up on current information regarding their flights through the relevant airline companies.

Due to the attacks by the terrorist organization YPG/SDG, flights at Aleppo International Airport had not been possible for 8 days.

BOMB-LADEN VEHICLE DISPOSED OF IN DEYR HAFIR

The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced that a bomb-laden vehicle parked on a street in the city of Deyr Hafir, east of Aleppo, has been neutralized.

The Ministry stated in a post on its Telegram account that the bomb-laden vehicle was destroyed by specialized engineering teams affiliated with the Ministry, and there were no casualties in the incident.

The statement mentioned that security screenings in the area are ongoing and urged citizens not to approach suspicious objects and to report the situation immediately to the Ministry of Interior units stationed in the city.

The Syrian army announced yesterday that it had established control over the cities of Deyr Hafir and Meskene, as well as 34 villages and towns in the eastern rural areas of Aleppo, and that hundreds of members of the terrorist organization YPG/SDG had surrendered to the army.
