A flight attendant from Güngören took a taxi to Sabiha Gökçen Airport and came up with various excuses to avoid paying the fare. An argument broke out between the flight attendant and the taxi driver over the non-payment of the fare. The argument between the two was captured on the taxi driver's mobile phone camera.

The incident took place on July 13, 2024, in the evening hours in Üsküdar district of Istanbul. Allegedly, a flight attendant named Pınar got into a commercial taxi to go from Güngören district to Sabiha Gökçen Airport. The taxi driver said that he couldn't go through the bridge due to heavy traffic and would take the tunnel instead, and he would cover the fare himself.

"I CAN'T TAKE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION IN MY UNIFORM"

When the taxi driver saw that the Eurasia Tunnel was also congested, he decided to take the car ferry to go faster. Pınar, the flight attendant, got angry at this and started shouting at the taxi driver, Mehmet Ayaz, saying, "I can't take public transportation in my uniform." She continued to insult and yell at the taxi driver until they got off the ferry. The taxi driver told her that she could get off by paying the 550 lira fare. In response, Pınar ran away with her bag. The taxi driver followed her to collect the money. Pınar, on the other hand, started hitting the taxi driver without paying. "PINAR GOT UPSET WHEN WE GOT ON THE FERRY"

Taxi driver Mehmet Ayaz said, "On July 13, around six o'clock, I was working as a taxi driver for Sabiha Gökçen Airport. At that time, one of our colleagues had his own subscriber passenger. She works as a flight attendant at the airport. I went and picked her up. We were going to Sabiha Gökçen. On the way, the navigation system showed heavy traffic on the bridge. It was very crowded. So, I asked the lady. I said, 'Pınar, instead of the bridge, I will go through the tunnel. Will you cover the fare?' She said, 'No, I can't.' I said, 'No problem, I can pay from my own pocket, but let's go that way.' Because there was a lot of traffic. When I arrived at the tunnel, I saw that it was also very crowded. Since the ferry was empty, I turned back to the ferry. Pınar got upset when we got on the ferry. She asked me why we got on the ferry. I explained it to her. After all, I'm the one paying the fare. Whether we go through the bridge or the tunnel doesn't matter. The tunnel was also crowded. I chose this option. Then she told me that it is forbidden for flight attendants to take public transportation in their uniforms. I told her that I didn't know that and it was the first time I heard about it."

Mehmet Ayaz said, "After we got off the ferry, she started constantly insulting me and I ignored her. I turned on the music, but she yelled even louder. I told her that I'm not a child. Suddenly, she started shouting at me to let her off. I told her that she could get off where she wanted and pay me. I was holding her bag. She said, 'I will pay through IBAN.' She took her bag and left, and I followed her to collect my money. She insulted me and kicked me."
