GOOD PARTY HAS CLOSED ITS DOORSGood Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu closed the doors to the DEM Party delegation, which went on a parliamentary tour after the meeting with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan. Dervişoğlu stated at a press conference, "The Good Party will not engage with the terrorist organization that seeks to be forgiven, its so-called leader, its spokespersons who want to legitimize them, its partners, and its delegations that have no political responsibility in any way." WHEN WILL ÖCALAN CALL TO LAY DOWN ARMS?After the İmralı visit, the delegation, which accelerated its contacts in the Parliament, is curious about what they discussed with terrorist leader Öcalan. A striking statement came from Ahmet Türk regarding when Öcalan would make the call to the PKK to lay down arms, which Bahçeli mentioned in his speech that initiated the process. Speaking to the Nefes newspaper, Türk said that Öcalan might call to lay down arms after his second or third visit to İmralı. "THIS IS A BEGINNING"Türk stated that they cannot say anything definitive at this point, saying, "The information we have received is like that. It is understood that meetings will be held with all political parties, and the delegation will go to İmralı again, and evaluations will be made accordingly." He emphasized that Öcalan also indicated that the thoughts of the parties in Parliament are important, saying, "These will also be evaluated. This is a beginning; we cannot call it a process." HOW DID THE PROCESS START?The process began with the call made by MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli on October 22. In his statement at the TBMM Group Meeting of his party, Bahçeli said, "If the isolation of the terrorist leader is lifted, let him come and speak at the TBMM DEM Party Group Meeting, proclaim that terrorism has completely ended and that the organization has been dissolved. If he shows this determination and resolve, the legal arrangement regarding the use of the 'right to hope' should be made, and his access to it should be opened wide." Shortly after this statement, Devlet Bahçeli called for the DEM Party delegation to be allowed to go to İmralı.
