The mother of 2025 World Superbike champion Toprak Razgatlıoğlu, Belgin Ulgan, stated that she couldn't watch her son's races due to excitement, adding that the first thing Toprak asks for when he returns home after the races is "mom's soup." Belgin Ulgan and Toprak's brother, Tümay Razgatlıoğlu, shared their feelings with AA reporter about Toprak Razgatlıoğlu, who is known as "El Turco" by racing fans worldwide and is the world champion in 2021, 2024, and 2025.
'MY BLOOD PRESSURE ROSE WHEN HE FELL'
Mother Belgin Ulgan mentioned that she couldn't watch her son's races due to excitement, and regarding the emotions she felt when Toprak fell as a result of contact with his rival during the Superpole race in Spain on the road to the 2025 championship, she said, "I can't watch his races anyway, but when he fell, my blood pressure rose, and my hands and feet trembled. I completely lost myself. I was already expecting them to do something, but thank God nothing happened. The last race went very well."
'I WISH HIS FATHER COULD HAVE SEEN IT'
When she saw that he won the 2025 World Superbike championship by finishing 3rd in the last race at the Jerez Circuit in Spain on Sunday, October 19, after 2021 and 2024, mother Belgin Ulgan shared her feelings about the celebrations on the track, saying, "I cried, as always, I cried, I was very happy, I was very glad. I wish his father could have seen it; he is the first person that comes to mind with every victory and championship."
'HE COULDN'T STAY STILL'
When asked about Toprak's childhood, the first Turkish athlete to win the world championship three times in World Superbike, his mother replied, "Exactly like that, he was a child who couldn't stay still; he could never stay in one place. Toprak couldn't sit in one place for half an hour; he would always be on the move."
'HE WANTS LENTIL SOUP AND TARHANA SOUP'
When asked what the first thing was that national motorcyclist Toprak Razgatlıoğlu wanted when he returned to Turkey after being abroad for long periods due to races, Belgin Ulgan said, "He wants soup. He wants lentil soup and tarhana soup. As for food, Toprak doesn't have picky eating habits, but since he is on a diet, we can't cook too much. Soup, chicken, rice. Mother and son can't do much these days; when he comes back from races, he is either in Istanbul or at an interview or a commercial shoot."
