RED CROSS CONVOY DEPARTED FROM OFER PRISON
The Red Cross convoy carrying the released Palestinian prisoners in the third round of the prisoner exchange between Hamas and Israel has departed from Israel's Ofer Prison. The convoy, which left Ofer Military Prison located in the occupied West Bank, is heading towards Ramallah.
The Red Cross convoy passed through the town of Beitunya, moving towards Tervihi Square in Ramallah amid applause and firework celebrations from Palestinians. The Palestinian prisoners will undergo a health check at a facility belonging to the Ramallah Municipality here.
ISRAELI ATTACK ON PALESTINIANS
Meanwhile, Palestinians gathered in the town of Beitunya, near Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, to welcome the prisoners released in the third round of the exchange.
A large number of Israeli military vehicles and construction machinery raided the town of Beitunya, pushing the Palestinians in the area away from the scene. The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that as a result of the Israeli intervention, 6 people were injured, 3 by live ammunition and 3 by rubber bullets, while 8 others were affected by tear gas.
Additionally, Israel also attacked the crowd waiting in front of Ofer Prison with tear gas canisters.
