The Pakistani army shot down 25 drones belonging to India, while the toll in the war that the world is watching began to rise. Pakistan announced that it had killed more than 50 Indian soldiers and stated that two command posts belonging to the Indian army had been destroyed.
The war between Pakistan and India, which erupted in Asia and has drawn the attention of the entire world, has intensified. In a statement from the Pakistan Army's Public Relations Unit (ISPR), it was reported that India launched a drone attack against Pakistan.
25 INDIAN DRONES DOWNED
The statement noted that the Pakistan Army has downed 25 "Harop" drones belonging to India so far, and the process of collecting the wreckage from various regions of the country is ongoing. According to a report by Dawn newspaper, Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of the Pakistan Army Public Relations Unit, made new statements regarding the India-Pakistan tension.
Chaudhry stated that since last night, India has sent "Harop" drones to many points in Pakistan, describing this as another "obvious act of military aggression." He noted that the Pakistan Army is on high alert and readiness, sharing that 4 Pakistani soldiers were injured in the drone attack on the city of Lahore, and one civilian was injured and another civilian lost their life in the Miano region of Sindh province.
The Pakistan Army reported that the drones were downed in Lahore, Attock, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur cities of Punjab province, as well as in the Chakwal region, Karachi city of Sindh province, and the Miano and Chor regions. The army also announced that Rawalpindi, located 15 kilometers from the capital Islamabad, was among the points where the drones were downed.
MORE THAN 50 INDIAN SOLDIERS KILLED
Pakistani security sources reported that more than 50 Indian soldiers were killed along the actual Line of Control (LoC), and two Indian army headquarters were destroyed. Sources stated that Pakistan would target India whenever and wherever it wanted, adding, "These despicable acts will not go unanswered."
Syed Zulfiqar Bukhari, the International Relations and Media Advisor to former Prime Minister Imran Khan, stated in an interview with AA that one of his staff members lost their life in the drone attack in Attock. The "Harop" drones are classified as kamikaze drones and are developed by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI).
MISSILE DEBRIS FOUND
Following the alleged attack by Pakistan using "drones and missiles" near the village of Makhanwindi close to Amritsar, India, Indian Army personnel secured the area where missile debris was found in a field.
INDIA'S ATTACK ON PAKISTAN
India conducted missile strikes on Pakistani territory and the Azad Kashmir region controlled by Pakistan on May 6, citing retaliation for the terrorist attack on April 22 in the Pahalgam region that killed 26 people. The Indian army announced that it hit 9 targets, which it described as "terrorist organizations," while the Islamabad administration reported that 6 civilian locations were targeted in the attacks, resulting in 26 fatalities.
The Pakistan Army stated that it shot down 5 fighter jets during the Indian side's attack, while the New Delhi administration did not confirm this. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi referred to the military operations as "Operation Sindoor" during a cabinet meeting he chaired, describing the operation as a "moment of pride." According to the Hindi dictionary, the word "Sindoor" means "the red powder applied to the foreheads of married Hindu women."
