The scrap vehicle found on the roof of a tractor repair shop in the İnegöl district of Bursa prompted action from the teams. The mystery of the vehicle was revealed 20 years later.
The story of the scrap vehicle on the roof of a tractor repair shop in the İnegöl district of Bursa emerged from a 20-year legal dispute. The vehicle was placed on the roof by a previous repairman and was forgotten there for a long time.
FOUND A SCRAP VEHICLE ON THE ROOF
The tractor repairman, who operates as a tenant in a workplace with a leaking roof, requested repairs from Berat Ertopuz, who was handling the procedures on behalf of the property owner to resolve the issue. Upon the request, Ertopuz, wanting to check the roof, was astonished when he encountered a scrap vehicle on the roof.
Following Ertopuz's report to the police, traffic teams were dispatched to the scene. The teams reached the owner of the vehicle and requested its removal from where it was found. However, the vehicle owner stated that he would not take the vehicle. Consequently, a report was filed regarding the incident.
HAS NOT TAKEN THE VEHICLE FOR 20 YEARS
When the property owner investigated how the scrap vehicle was placed on the roof, an interesting history emerged. According to the information obtained, about 20 years ago, a car body repairman named Vedat was providing services next to the mentioned workplace. A damaged vehicle was brought to this repairman for repair. However, during the repair process, a dispute arose between the vehicle owner and the body repairman, and the matter was taken to court. The vehicle was not removed from its location during the months and even years of the legal process.
It was learned that the body repairman placed the faulty vehicle on the flat roof of his own workplace with the help of a tow truck, and in the following years, during roof repairs, the scrap vehicle was transferred to the roof of the adjacent existing workplace. It was also noted that the body repairman passed away about 2 years ago.
The incident came to light when the tractor repairman, who is a tenant in the adjacent workplace, requested repairs again due to the roof leaking, especially in the winter months. Ertopuz, who went up to the roof, noticed the scrap vehicle and went to the police station to file a complaint.
"PLEASE TAKE YOUR VEHICLE"
Berat Ertopuz, the workplace official who made a statement regarding the issue, said: "I am the nephew of the property owner. He lives in Istanbul, and I handle the affairs related to the tenants. Since the building is old, we decided to make a roof. When we went up to the roof, we encountered a 30-35 year old vehicle. In discussions with the neighbors, we learned that the vehicle was brought to a repairman next door, and after the dispute, it was first placed on his roof and then on ours. It is not possible for us to make the roof without removing the vehicle. We applied to the police, traffic teams came, but it was said that the issue needed to be resolved at the police station. I am calling out to the vehicle owner from here; please take your vehicle so we can make our roof."
It was learned that the process regarding the incident is ongoing at the police station.
