The murder of former beauty queen Carolina Flores Gomez in Mexico has made national headlines. It is claimed that the 27-year-old Gomez was shot dead by her mother-in-law in the apartment where they lived together.
Gomez, who held the title of 2017 Baja California Miss Teen Universe, was found shot on April 15 in a luxury apartment in Polanco. There were no signs of forced entry at the scene, indicating the murder occurred inside the home.
MOTHER-IN-LAW IS THE MAIN SUSPECT
In the investigation, it is alleged that the mother-in-law, Erika Herrera, fired six shots at the young woman. After the incident, Herrera reportedly fled and is being sought by security forces.
FOOTAGE EMERGES
In footage shared on social media, the husband, who was at home during the incident, is heard shouting, "¿Qué fue eso? ¿Qué hiciste, loca?" (What was that? What did you do, crazy?), while the woman calmly responds to her son's question: "Nothing, she made me angry, it's her fault."
Footage strengthened claims that the murder followed a domestic argument.
