CHP's Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer was arrested on charges of "membership in an armed terrorist organization" as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Following Özer's arrest, Can Aksoy was appointed as the trustee of Esenyurt Municipality.

HE HELD HIS FIRST MEETING

After trustee Can Aksoy was appointed, he held his first meeting with the municipal council's civil servant members. In the meeting, it was decided to create parks for disabled children, to place weighing scales in markets where citizens can measure suspicious weights, to arrange sanitary areas accessible to women in market areas, and to establish a "Call for Municipal Police" line to maintain order in the markets.

Can Aksoy's latest move as the trustee appointed to Esenyurt also made a significant impact in the district. Under Aksoy's instruction, banners reading "City of Trust and Peace Esenyurt" were hung on all overpasses in the district.
