SPAIN IS AMONG THE COUNTRIES IMPOSING SANCTIONS ON ISRAEL

Spanish Prime Minister Sanchez announced a 9-point sanction decision against Israel, including the approval of a Royal Decree that legally reinforces the arms embargo on Israel and the prohibition of entry into Spain for all individuals directly involved in genocide, human rights violations, and war crimes in the Gaza Strip. Pedro Sanchez, who announced some measures to stop the genocide in Gaza and punish those responsible, stated that the ban on the sale and acquisition of military equipment, which is already being implemented in practice with Israel, would be formalized and that ships and aircraft carrying fuel or weapons to the Israeli army would be prohibited from using Spanish ports and airspace. Sanchez also noted that individuals "directly involved in genocide" would not be allowed into Spain.

Immediately after this, the Israeli government accused Spain of "antisemitism" for its actions and accused the government of "corruption," announcing that the entry of Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Labor and Social Economy Yolanda Diaz, and Minister of Youth and Childhood Sira Rego (of Palestinian descent) into the country had been banned.
