U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the purpose of continuously bringing up the released Epstein documents is to overshadow the successes of the Republicans, saying, "I kicked Epstein out of Mar-a-Lago. By the way, I have never been to Epstein's island."
US President Donald Trump made statements on current issues at an event held at the Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.
"DID THE NUMBER OF CLINTON PHOTOS SURPRISE YOU?"
Trump responded to the question, "Did the number of Bill Clinton photos in the Epstein files surprise you? Do you commit to having all documents fully released by the end of the year?"
"EVERYONE USED TO BE FRIENDS WITH EPSTEIN"
Claiming that many people are angry about the release of the Epstein documents due to pressure from Democrats, Trump said, "I think that's terrible. I like Bill Clinton. I've always gotten along well with Bill Clinton. I don't like to see his photos coming out, but this is exactly what the Democrats wanted, especially the Democrats." Noting that Epstein had a very social circle and that everyone used to be friends with Epstein, Trump stated, "The head of Harvard was Epstein's closest friend. Bill Clinton was his friend; in fact, everyone was his friend."
"I THOUGHT THE EPSTEIN ISSUE WAS CLOSED"
Trump, who mentioned that he had crossed paths with Epstein at one time, said, "I kicked him out of Mar-a-Lago. This is one of the most sought-after places in the world, the most sought-after place in Florida. Everyone would come here. But we really kicked Epstein out." Reiterating that he was not pleased with the release of photos of Bill Clinton with Epstein, Trump remarked, "I think that's a very bad thing. Bill Clinton is a great guy; he can handle this."
Recalling that there were very respectable bankers, lawyers, and other important people who had innocently encountered Jeffrey Epstein years ago, Trump said, "There are probably photos of other people as well." He argued that the sole purpose of bringing up the Epstein issue was to overshadow the successes of the Republicans, stating, "We are building the largest ships in the world, and they are asking me questions about Jeffrey Epstein. I thought this was closed."
"MANY PEOPLE HAVE GONE TO HIS ISLAND"
Trump, who claimed he did not want to be associated with the Epstein issue despite the Democrats bringing it up, said, "They want to talk about Epstein, but the problem is that many Democrats, like Larry Summers, have also been drawn into this network. Larry was at the head of Harvard and now has had to resign from all the boards he was on. He had gone to Epstein's island frequently. Meanwhile, I have never been to Epstein's island.
