FIRES BROKE OUT IN SOME HOUSES

Local sources reported that the SDG terrorist organization, which continues its occupation in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh neighborhoods, conducted mortar attacks on civilian settlements in Aleppo. The terrorist organization targeted the Cemiliyye, Suryan, and Cisr Razı neighborhoods in the city center of Aleppo, as well as the Sabgha town in the countryside. As a result of the attacks, fires broke out in some houses.

PEOPLE HAVE STARTED TO MIGRATE

According to information obtained from the Aleppo Governorate, 2 civilians lost their lives and 13 were injured in the attacks. Following the assaults, the local population began to migrate towards areas they deemed safer. It was learned that the Syrian army dispatched tanks to the contact lines with PKK/YPG in Aleppo in response to the developments.

CITIZENS PROTESTED THE ATTACKS

After the clashes, citizens gathered in the city center of Aleppo and held a demonstration demanding the Syrian government to expel the PKK/YPG terrorist organization from the city. Meanwhile, the PKK/YPG terrorist organization also launched an attack in the evening hours near the Sheikhhan and Leramon regions of Aleppo, targeting a location where Syrian soldiers were present. In the attack, one soldier from the Syrian army and two civil defense personnel were injured.

CEASEFIRE ESTABLISHED

A ceasefire was reported to have been established following the clashes between the Syrian army and the PKK/YPG terrorist organization, which uses the name SDG in the country, in Aleppo province.

In a statement from the Syrian Ministry of Defense, it was noted that "the response to the organization was halted after the PKK/YPG targets were neutralized." According to the statement from the Ministry's Media and Communication Department, the Syrian army was instructed to cease fire after neutralizing the targets of the PKK/YPG in response to their attacks in Aleppo.

The statement included, "The General Staff issued an order to stop targeting these SDG objectives after they were neutralized and ensured that the conflict area was narrowed to keep civilians away." In a post made by the organization on its social media account named SDG, it was stated that "the attack on Syrian security forces has been halted."

In a previous statement from the Syrian army, it was mentioned that "the army acted in accordance with its responsibilities to protect and defend the people, did not make any attempts to change the control lines, and instead only responded to fire sources."
