The 81-year-old musician Zafer Dilek, who was receiving treatment at Göztepe Süleyman Yalçın City Hospital, has passed away. His funeral will be held on December 13 at the Karacaahmet Cemetery in Üsküdar. Zafer Dilek was born on August 30, 1944, in Adana. He started his music career at a young age, taking his first step by focusing on playing the guitar in 1958. During his high school years, he began performing on stage with a group called "Mavi Gölgeler" and quickly drew attention with his musical talent. The artist moved to Istanbul for higher education, where he had the opportunity to work with important figures of the time. His collaborations with the Okan Dinçer & Kontrastlar group laid the foundation for his professional music journey.
Zafer Dilek also worked as an arranger for many famous names such as Sezen Aksu, Ajda Pekkan, Edip Akbayram, Bülent Ersoy, and Muazzez Abacı. He was involved in the production of melodies for many films, including Kemal Sunal's films 'Çarşambayı Sel Aldı', 'Çiçekler Ekiliyor', 'Yekte', 'Tokat Sarması', 'Dilo Dilo Yaylalar', and 'Çiçek Dağı'.
