The Biden administration of the United States has resumed sending the 227-kilogram bombs to Israel, which it had stopped sending for 2 months. It has been stated that the bombs are in the process of transportation and are expected to reach Israel shortly.
The Biden administration in the US has reportedly resumed sending approximately 500-pound bombs to Israel, along with one-ton bombs that have been halted for about 2 months.
US IS SENDING BOMBS TO ISRAEL AGAIN
While Israel's attacks in the Gaza Strip continue, there has been another scandalous move from the US. The Joe Biden administration has started sending 500-pound bombs to Israel again after halting the shipments for 2 months. An official, who preferred to remain anonymous, stated to AA that the said bombs are "in the transportation process" and are expected to reach Israel in the coming weeks.
The official also mentioned that their main concern during the period when Israel announced an attack on the city of Refah was not the 500-pound bombs, but the potential use of one-ton bombs in densely populated areas. The official, who explained that the transportation of the 500-pound bombs was halted because they were combined with one-ton bombs in the same ammunition shipment, said, "Because our concern was not about the 500-pound bombs, they are progressing as part of the normal process."
SHIPMENT OF ONE-TON BOMBS STILL ON HOLD
The official confirmed that the 500-pound bombs were sent separately to Israel, emphasizing that the shipment of one-ton bombs is still being held.
US HAD HALTED WEAPON SHIPMENTS
In May, the Biden administration in the US announced that it had halted a shipment consisting of one-ton and 500-pound bombs to prevent civilian casualties after Israel announced an attack on the densely populated city of Refah. It was reported that the shipment included 1800 one-ton bombs and 1700 500-pound bombs.
