STATEMENT FROM CENTCOM
The US Central Command also issued a statement regarding the attacks on Iran. The statement included the following: "On the orders of the Commander-in-Chief, US Central Command forces have begun conducting additional strikes against Iran, aiming to further degrade their ability to threaten freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. The United States holds Iran responsible for its recent unjust aggression against commercial vessels and civilian crews freely navigating a vital international waterway."
TRUMP: WE WILL STRIKE IRAN TONIGHT
After the NATO Leaders Summit, US President Donald Trump said the following about the attacks on Iran: "Iran is behaving very badly, violating the deal. They are being very naughty. We hit them very hard. They need to wise up. We will likely hit Iran very hard this evening. Normally I wouldn't say it, but there's nothing they can do anymore.
Iran's military forces are gone. Iran's navy is at the bottom of the sea. We hit 28 of Iran's boats yesterday. I don't know if there will be a deal with Iran. The entire war was about denuclearizing Iran. We don't want them to have nuclear weapons. They are all crazy. We've seen them be the bully of the Middle East for 47 years, but they are not anymore. They won't have nuclear weapons as long as I'm here. People always cheat. You make a deal. First they say: 'Okay, we accept. We will never have a nuclear weapon.' They carry it on with trickery, lies, and scrap."
