In the murder of Naime Zeybek, whose lifeless body was found stabbed in a coal shed in Izmir, her sons Emre Zeybek and Alican Zeybek were arrested. It was determined that Emre Zeybek committed the murder due to a bloodstain from his clothing found in his car. It was learned that Emre Zeybek had asked his mother for a loan due to financial difficulties, and they had a dispute because of this.
The curtain of secrecy has been lifted in the murder case in the coal cellar of an apartment located in the Gaziemir district of İzmir. On December 13, Naime Zeybek (65) and her sons Emre Zeybek (42) and Alican Zeybek (36) returned to their home in the Atıfbey neighborhood of Gaziemir after coming back from their summer house in Karaburun.
Naime Zeybek KILLED BY STABBING IN THE COAL CELLAR After a while, Naime Zeybek went down to the coal cellar in the basement of the apartment to get some detergent after her son Emre Zeybek left the house. When her son Alican Zeybek went down to look for her after she did not return for a long time, he found his mother motionless in a pool of blood.
Upon notification, police and medical teams dispatched to the scene determined that Naime Zeybek had died from multiple stab wounds.
BOTH SONS ARRESTED In the investigation conducted by the Homicide Bureau of the Public Security Department, it was determined that Naime Zeybek lived with Alican Zeybek, while Emre Zeybek lived in another building on the same street.
The woman's two sons were detained on suspicion of murder and were arrested by the judicial authorities to which they were referred.
600 HOURS OF CAMERA RECORDINGS EXAMINED In order to clarify the murder, special teams were formed within the İzmir Regional Criminal Police Laboratory and the Homicide Bureau of the Provincial Police Department, coordinated by the General Directorate of Security's Public Order Department.
In this context, a total of 600 hours of footage from 30 security cameras and 10 License Plate Recognition System (PTS) cameras in the vicinity were thoroughly examined.
The identities of individuals entering and exiting the apartment before and after the incident were identified, and their statements were taken. Digital materials belonging to the suspects were also examined by the Cyber Crime Department teams.
BLOOD STAIN ON HIS CLOTHES GAVE HIM AWAY Criminal analyses revealed that a blood stain belonging to his mother was found on Emre Zeybek's clothes and his car. Based on the evidence, it was established that Emre Zeybek committed the murder, while Alican Zeybek had no connection to the incident.
THEY HAD A DISPUTE OVER A LOAN It was learned that Emre Zeybek asked his mother for a loan due to his financial difficulties, which led to a dispute between them.
