In an operation conducted in Esenler, Istanbul, a large number of counterfeit dollars and euros, as well as materials used for printing fake money, were seized. Three suspects were detained in connection with the incident.
With the instruction of the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Smuggling and Financial Crimes Investigation Bureau, an operation was carried out in a house in Esenler, coordinated by the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command and the Istanbul MIT Regional Directorate.
3 SUSPECTS DETAINED
During the searches, 1 million 250 thousand counterfeit US dollars, 655 thousand counterfeit euros, 1 paper cutting machine, 1 currency counting device, 1 currency printing mold machine, 800 holograms, 2 iron molds used in currency printing, and 18 plastic molds were seized. Within the scope of the operation, 3 suspects named M.C.S., M.D., and M.N.S. were captured and detained.
