Following the incident, upon the family's complaint, the neighborhood headman Neslihan Dönmez Dürüktaş went to the business with the Edirne Municipality Street Animals Shelter teams to collect the dogs in question.
THEY LOCKED THE HEADMAN IN THE GARDEN
Headman Dürüktaş, who entered the garden to observe the collection of the dogs, had a dispute with the business manager M.K. After the argument, the manager closed the sliding iron gate in the garden, preventing the headman and the shelter workers from leaving. Dürüktaş managed to exit the garden with the help of the shelter teams, reported the situation to the police, and went to the police station to file a complaint. Municipality teams captured 2 dogs that were reported to be involved in the attack and took them to the shelter.
"HE TOLD ME 'YOU CANNOT TAKE DOGS FROM HERE'"
Dürüktaş stated that they experienced a distressing situation at the business they went to regarding the dog attack incident. He explained that when they arrived at the area with the shelter workers, they encountered the reaction of the business manager, saying:
"The manager came out and said, 'You cannot take dogs from here.' I pointed out that there was a biting incident and that the dogs needed to be taken. I called the business owner. He told us that we could enter and collect the dogs. This is the truck parking lot of the business. The dogs are chained under the trailers and are being taken care of. The biting dog was also there.
"HE CLOSED THE SLIDING IRON GATE ON US"
I stated that we had a report regarding the biting incident and said that the shelter staff needed to take the dogs. The business manager said, 'You cannot take dogs out from here,' and closed the sliding iron gate on us. The shelter workers, I, and the vehicle were left inside. He went outside."
"HE MADE THREATENING REMARKS LIKE 'I WILL END YOUR HEADMANSHIP'"
Dürüktaş continued by alleging that the business manager spoke to him in a threatening manner, saying, "He made remarks like 'I will end your headmanship. You are finished.' He insulted me in a humiliating way in front of the neighborhood residents."
HE FILED A COMPLAINT
Dürüktaş expressed that he exited with the help of the shelter workers and that the argument continued outside. He stated that he went to the police station to file a complaint and noted that there were 6 more dogs at the business.
