The grand final of MasterChef Turkey with the Golden Cup concept took place on Sunday evening, January 18. In the final, Hasan and Sergen faced off against each other. At the end of the three-day intense duel, Sergen surpassed Hasan by receiving the highest score from the judges. In addition to the MasterChef Golden Cup, Sergen also became the owner of the grand prize of 5 million TL.
The marathon that has been ongoing for months in MasterChef Turkey came to a breathtaking finale on Sunday evening, January 18. The winner of the 3-day final duel between two giants, Hasan and Sergen, was Sergen. By receiving the highest score from Chefs Somer, Mehmet, and Danilo, Sergen surpassed his rival and took home the MasterChef Golden Cup as well as the grand prize of 5 million TL.
THE SCORE DIFFERENCE WAS REVEALED IN THE SIGNATURE DISH
During the first two days of the 3-day final marathon, Hasan and Sergen showcased a head-to-head competition. In the "Turkish Cuisine" stage on the first day, Hasan stood out with his technical skills, while in the "International Cuisine" stage on the second day, Sergen closed the gap with his creativity. Entering the grand final night with nearly equal scores, Sergen managed to reach the 5 million TL prize by receiving full points from the chefs in the "Signature Dish" stage, which determined the fate of the final.
PRAISE FROM CHEFS FOR SERGEN
Before the results were announced, Chef Mehmet Yalçınkaya, who evaluated the contestants, stated, "Today we witnessed not just a dish, but a story of discipline and development," while Somer Sivrioğlu emphasized that Sergen's risk-taking dishes brought him the championship. Danilo Zanna noted that the flavor balance on Sergen's plate was flawless.

After raising the championship trophy in the air, Sergen, unable to hold back his tears, expressed his emotions with the following words:
"I worked hard, I lost a lot of sleep. MasterChef changed my life, and the Golden Cup became the most beautiful crown of this journey. I dedicate this cup to everyone who believed in me and supported me, especially to my family and my hometown Tekirdağ. Hasan was a very strong competitor, it was an honor to compete with him."

Finishing the competition in second place, Hasan was the first to congratulate Sergen. Hasan said, "I did my best, but today was Sergen's day. He deserved the cup, may his path be clear," receiving great appreciation from the audience.
