At the AK Party Group Meeting, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan pinned badges on three members of parliament who joined the AK Party after resigning from different parties. Hasan Ufuk Çakır, who left the CHP, drew attention with his speech at the ceremony and the military salute he gave to Erdoğan.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who came to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey for the AK Party Group Meeting, was welcomed with enthusiasm by party members. After evaluating the agenda at the meeting, Erdoğan pinned party badges on the three members of parliament who joined the AK Party.

It was announced that Hasan Ufuk Çakır, the Mersin Member of Parliament who resigned from the CHP, İrfan Karatutlu, the Kahramanmaraş Member of Parliament who resigned from the DEVA Party, and İsa Mesih Şahin, the Istanbul Member of Parliament who resigned from the Future Party, joined the AK Party. Erdoğan pinned badges on all three individuals one by one.

Speaking after the badge ceremony, Hasan Ufuk Çakır thanked President Erdoğan, stating, "I am a person who has been slandered, subjected to injustice, but has not bowed my head... I have come to stand tall for the state in the march towards the Century of Turkey. There are two commanders-in-chief; one is Gazi Mustafa Kemal Pasha, the other is President Erdoğan. I salute them."
