Kayseri, bearing the title of 2029 World Sports Capital, will host the FIBA 3x3 Lite Quest 2026 tournament under the management of Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, organized by Spor A.Ş. The event will take place at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan National Garden on July 10-12, featuring athletes from approximately 40 countries and teams from 4 continents.
Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality continues to host international sports organizations in line with its vision of becoming the 2029 World Sports Capital.
FIBA 3x3 LITE QUEST 2026 IN KAYSERI
Organized by Spor A.Ş. under the leadership of Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, the FIBA 3x3 Lite Quest 2026 Tournament will meet basketball fans on July 10-11-12 at Kayseri Recep Tayyip Erdoğan National Garden. This tournament, among the significant international basketball events, will make Kayseri a meeting point for athletes from different geographies of the world for three days.
ATHLETES FROM 4 CONTINENTS, 4 COUNTRIES WILL PARTICIPATE
While the organization is expected to include approximately 30 foreign teams from 4 continents and athletes from around 40 countries, the world's top-level 3x3 basketball players will compete in Kayseri. With applications from many countries including Germany, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Iran, Algeria, Ghana, Mexico, Hong Kong, Togo, and Turkey, the organization will draw the attention of the international sports community to Kayseri. Kayseri, which will also hold the title of 2027 TÜRKSOY Turkish World Culture Capital in addition to its 2029 World Sports Capital title, will combine the unifying power of sports with its historical and cultural heritage through this important event. Throughout the tournament, both athletic competition and the coming together of different cultures will strengthen the international atmosphere of friendship and brotherhood.
MUSTAFA ÖZBEN WILL BE THE HOST
The hosting of the organization will be carried out by Mustafa Özben, Turkey's first professional basketball announcer and the first and only Turkish sports announcer to serve in the history of the Olympic Games. Özben, with his experience, energy, and stage performance, will add color to the tournament's atmosphere and elevate the stands' enthusiasm to the highest level.
