The facility of Tunçlar Holding in Kırıkkale is one of the top three most technologically advanced sunflower seed factories in the world. Thanks to the use of high technology, the Tunçlar Holding Snack Sunflower Seed Integrated Facility, which has the feature of a smart factory and has become one of the important projects for increasing domestic production of sunflower seeds in Turkey, meets a large part of its energy needs on its own with the Solar Power Plant (GES) that was commissioned in 2020.

TARGET OF 100 STORES AND 1.5 BILLION LIRA INVESTMENT IN 5 YEARS

Stating that they aim to increase the number of stores from 30 to 100 across Turkey within 5 years, Abdullah Tunç, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Tunçlar Holding, said, "We have planned an investment of 1.5 billion lira for this growth process. Tunçlar Holding has grown so far without using bank loans. We are making our investments with our own resources. We offer purchase guarantees to farmers with a contract production model and provide seed support. We pay our contracted farmers the product price in advance," he said.

PLANS FOR GROWTH IN DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL MARKETS

Stating that the Çitlekçi brand, which sends products to all 81 provinces of Turkey via e-commerce, has not grown through a franchise system in order to maintain quality standards, Tunç said that despite high demand, they have not abandoned this policy. He added that they want to open a store in Istanbul but have not found a suitable place with sufficient size and parking space. Tunç also mentioned that they have plans to open stores in European countries and the United Arab Emirates.

68,040 TON PRE-SCREENING CAPACITY

Thanks to its advanced machinery park, the facility has an annual pre-screening capacity of 68,040 tons, while 15,000 tons of sunflower seeds ready for processing are handled. Additionally, the processes of sizing, classification, and color separation are carried out with high precision, and efficient and sustainable production is achieved by expert teams in the facility.
