U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has instructed the removal of the "X" option for gay and transgender individuals on U.S. citizens' passports, aside from the "female" and "male" options.
"GENDER CANNOT BE CHANGED IN U.S. OFFICIAL POLICY"
According to a report on the American Intercept news platform, based on a written directive sent by Rubio within the agency, Rubio stated in the relevant directive, "The official policy of the United States is that gender is not changeable."
TRUMP: THERE ARE ONLY TWO GENDERS
Donald Trump, the 47th President of the United States, stated in his inaugural address, "From now on, the official policy of the United States government is that there are only two genders: male and female."
After taking office, Trump signed an executive order stating that "only two genders, male and female," would be recognized in the country.
