In Burdur, a young woman lost her life and a young man was injured in an accident caused by a car that lost control and crashed into an electric pole on the median. The truck driver, who is alleged to have caused the accident by squeezing the car, was taken to the police station for questioning.
In Burdur, a 23-year-old Rabia Yalçın lost her life and her husband Orhan Y. was injured as a result of a car that lost control crashing into an electricity pole on the median.
CRASHED INTO THE ELECTRICITY POLE
The accident occurred around 01:00 in the Emek neighborhood on Bülent Ecevit Boulevard. The car with license plate 20 SE 787, driven by 22-year-old Orhan Y., crashed into the electricity pole on the median after the driver lost control of the steering wheel. As a result of the impact, his wife Rabia Yalçın, who was a passenger in the vehicle, lost her life at the scene.
Upon notification, fire, medical, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured driver was taken to Burdur State Hospital after the first intervention. Yalçın's body was taken to the morgue for autopsy.
TRUCK DRIVER TAKEN FOR INTERROGATION
The accident was claimed to have been caused by a truck with license plate 55 BZ 360 squeezing the car. The truck driver was taken to the police station for questioning.
It was learned that the young couple, who got married last August, had an accident with the car they used at their wedding. An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
