In the tourist district of Çeşme in İzmir, a customer bit off the nose of a 17-year-old employee during a fight that broke out in a pastry shop. The young man was immediately taken to the hospital and underwent surgery, and his condition has been reported as serious.
In the Cumhuriyet Square of Çeşme district, a dispute between a group of five people and bakery employees over the use of the restroom quickly escalated into a fight.
EMPLOYEE LEFT IN A POOL OF BLOOD, CONDITION CRITICAL
During the incident, 28-year-old M.K. targeted a 17-year-old bakery employee and bit off his nose. Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the area. The employee, who was left in a pool of blood, was taken to Dokuz Eylul University Hospital after the first intervention by the medical teams at the scene. It was learned that during a successful operation performed here, the severed nasal tissue was reattached, while the young man's health condition remained serious.
ARRESTED FOR INTENTIONAL INJURY
Police teams detained five individuals involved in the incident. After their procedures at the police station, the suspects were referred to judicial authorities, and M.K. was arrested on charges of "intentional injury," while the other four were released under judicial control. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
