Tron founder Justin Sun has entered the Forbes 2025 Billionaires List at number 353 with a net worth of $8.5 billion. The total wealth of the 16 individuals from the crypto sector who made the list exceeds $164 billion, while former Binance CEO CZ maintains his top position with $62.9 billion. Four executives from Tether are also included in the list.
The Forbes 2025 World Billionaires List also features one of the prominent names in the crypto sector, Tron founder Justin Sun. With a fortune of $8.5 billion, Sun entered the list at 353rd place, becoming the 16th crypto mogul on this prestigious list. The richest person in the crypto world continues to be former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) with $62.9 billion.
Crypto Representatives Stand Out in Forbes Billionaires List
Justin Sun, the founder of Tron, has become the newest representative from the crypto world to make it onto Forbes' prestigious World Billionaires List. In the 2025 list, Sun, with a fortune of $8.5 billion, secured the 353rd position, drawing attention as the sixteenth name from the crypto sector to be included in the list.
The total wealth of those entering the list from the crypto sector exceeds $164 billion, with former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao at the top. Known as CZ, Zhao managed to nearly double his fortune from $33 billion to $62.9 billion despite paying fines and serving four months in prison. After leaving his position at Binance, Zhao is currently at the helm of YZi Labs, formerly known as Binance Labs.
In second place on the list is Tether's Chief Financial Officer Giancarlo Devasini, who secured the 90th position with a fortune of $22.4 billion. In addition to Devasini, who is noted to be the largest shareholder of the stablecoin giant Tether, three more individuals from the company made it onto the list. These names include former CEO Jean-Louis van der Velde, current CEO Paolo Ardoino, and General Counsel Stuart Hoegne.
The founders of the Gemini crypto exchange, identical twins Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, have also secured their spots on the list. Each twin is ranked 1141st with a fortune of $3.2 billion. The Winklevoss brothers founded Gemini, which currently has a daily trading volume of $30 million, in 2014.
The founders of Coinbase have also made it onto Forbes' elite list. Brian Armstrong is ranked 311th with $9.2 billion, while Fred Ehrsam is positioned at 1362nd with a fortune of $2.7 billion.
Michael Saylor, the Strategy Company's Chief Strategy Officer, increased his wealth by $3 billion compared to last year, reaching $7.4 billion and rising to 430th place. The company, which changed its name from MicroStrategy to Strategy in February of this year, holds approximately 528,185 Bitcoins, making it the largest corporate Bitcoin holder with an investment of around $45 billion.
Other notable names from the crypto world entering the list include Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen, Jed McCaleb from Stellar, venture capitalist Tim Draper, Galaxy Digital Holdings CEO Mike Novogratz, and Bloq president Matthew Roszak.
